Jennifer began her professional career as a photographer for a local newspaper where she developed her photojournalistic style. She also used her skills to help pay for college by offering wedding and portrait photography. She spent six years as an architecture and interior design photographer for a major Philadelphia based firm. During those six years, she continued to develop her skills as a wedding photographer. She found wedding photography so rewarding as a creative outlet, she finally decided to dedicate herself to it full time in 2002.
In addition to her talents as a photographer, Jennifer has a core set of business ethics that keep her clients, their friends, and their families coming back. She continues to make customer satisfaction her top priority.
Jennifer also specializes in Family, Infant, Pregnancy, and Boudoir photography.
Kevin York
Kevin has been a professional photographer for over twenty five years. He is a graduate of Antonelli School of Photography. Kevin started his photography business in 1985, primarily as a product and corporate photographer. In 1995 Kevin was commissioned by Penske Racing to work on their product catalogs. This led to an opening in Auto Racing Photography. One year later her was a contributing photographer for ESPN, Racer, OnTrack and Champ Car Magazines. He worked with many celebrities in and out of the racing world. He was lucky enough to photograph and become friends with his boyhood hero Mario Andretti.
In 2003 Kevin was asked to photograph a friend's wedding. He decided to approach it just as he did his magazine commissions. He shot the day just as it unfolded, having no idea that he was about to become a wedding photojournalist! Over 150 weddings later Kevin has not looked back. His love for creating artistic images that are cherished and passed through the generations are what motivates him as a wedding photographer.

Here are a few images from a session I shot this December! Simply Stunning!
The month of November FINALLY brought some sunshine!
Mike and Eileen had an amazing Friday afternoon wedding with something we rarely see anymore; sunshine!! Pete Malone and I headed over the bridge to Jersey to the Cathedral of the Woods for the ceremony. Then to the Westin in Mt. Laurel where the party was rockin’ thanks to DJ Matt of Synergetic Sounds and lighting.
It was so nice to actually work with the sunlight and the photos definitely reflect that! Enjoy!
Eileen Alexander - These pictures are so amazing Jenn! I just love all of the great outside shots we got. Mike and I are so excited to see all of them, I am sure they will be unbelievable. I am so very glad we chose you to be our photographer - you rock!
Vida Carson - Oh you did such a lovely job on their wedding! You really captured the emotions well :)
Christina LeMarr - Beautiful! Such a cute couple, and huge smiles!!
Sharon - These pictures are absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!! The colors are stunning and the bride and groom look amazingly happy!!!!!
Matt & Alana had a spooktacular Halloween wedding this year! I know, I know that was was cheesy!! But had to be done!
It was yet another rainy October day like most of October was this year. Luckily, we were able to get a break in the weather just at the right time. We started our day at Villanova Chapel followed by a photo session at The Willows. The reception was at Overbrook Golf Club. This is a super long post because I have so many favorites it was hard to choose. Believe it or not I still didn’t post all that I wanted to. Enjoy!
It’s that time of year again, the holidays are approaching. Just like every holiday season, Jesse and I want to give back to the community, but more significantly we want our children to realize the importance of giving to others so that they appreciate the very blessed life they have.
This year, just like last year, is going to be a tough economic year for charities. Most people are going to have enough trouble providing their own families with a full and gift filled holiday season. So here is this year’s proposal:
Just like last year, I will shoot one 2010 wedding this year for FREE! If one couple out there is willing to donate $2,750 you will receive all of this…
Feel Good Package includes: 8 hours of wedding day coverage
500 proofs unmarked and yours to keep
Slide show at reception of photographer’s favorites
Online imaging gallery
High resolution DVD of all edited images

This year we have decided to Adopt a Family through the Greater Philadelphia Cares Organization. Here’s a link to some photos of last year’s shopping spree. Thanks to First Floor Films, for this video of last year’s shopping spree as well. We had a blast!
If you haven’t already, check out the wedding blog post for last years winners, Megan & Jon, check it out now! Their wedding was AMAZING and it was so rewarding for everyone involved!!
Entire payment is due upfront on day of booking and we will spend every cent of your money on toys and other essential things this family needs. There is nothing more rewarding than that! I love this deal because EVERYONE wins!
Megan Koppel - My husband and I were the winners of Jen's first annual "Feel Good" Package last year, and I cannot express what an AMAZING experience this was for us. A year ago, my friend, Sarah, gave me a heads up that Jenn had introduced this contest and after looking at Jenn's photo gallery for 10 seconds, I knew I REALLY WANTED her to be our photographer. I emailed her ASAP and was sooo happy to be picked for this!
We met up with Jenn and her family at Wal-Mart in Hilltown, Bucks Co. last Decemeber 2008. As you can see from the video, along with Jenn's family, we had a GREAT time shopping and bought sooo many wonderful toys for Toys for Tots. We filled an ENTIRE TRUCK!! It is an experience that Jon and I will never forget.
Our wedding was on September 25, 2009, and I REALLY CAN'T EXPRESS what an INCREDIBLE job Jenn (and Pete Malone as second!) did for us! Please check out our photos!! I LOVE showing them off. I would recommend her to all of my friends and family ;-) So many people have complimented that they are "THE NICEST WEDDING PICTURES I'VE EVER SEEN!"
You REALLY can't go wrong with this package! You get amazing, top of the line wedding photos, top customer service from Jenn, and the AMAZING experience of making sure children in OUR LOCAL AREA wake up with toys on Christmas morning that they otherwise would not have had. This year, my husband and I know we have soo much to be thankful for. Jenn has inspired us to start a similar tradition for our family every year.
Don't hesitate to enter because I know that the winner will be picked FAST! YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS THIS!!! TRUST ME!!
Jenn, I cannot thank you enough for all of your work in making this entire experience one that I will never forget. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Thanks for reading!

Steph & Neal were married this past Saturday. ( I can’t remember the last time I blogged a wedding the Monday after!) I am catching up! Autumn is my favorite time of year but I am bummed that so many weddings are getting rained out. However, I am so glad that we did a little something special to make their wedding photos amazing!
Thanks, to Pete Malone for second shooting with me AGAIN!
So have you ever heard the expression “Don’t put off till tomorrow what you can do today?” Well in this case we DID put off until tomorrow….and boy are we glad we did! These are some of my favorites from our day after session . Sunday was a gorgeous day! I had a portrait cancellation so I asked Steph and Neal to come out and get the photos they should of got on their wedding day. This worked out great!
Mary and Gurney were married on a recent Sunday this October. This paticular Sundat was supposed to be a lot wetter than it was. I watched the weather forecast all weekend and it was not looking good! To our surprised the rain held off but it was still pretty chilly for an outside wedding. However, Mary and Gurney being the unique spirits they are had a lovely service with enough love and happiness to warm every one’s hearts on that chilly afternoon. I felt a great connection with this couple and we had so much fun traveling around the arboretum getting the amazing images you see below. M&G thank you so much for choosing me to document your amazing day.
I love working at the Morris Arboretum! There are a lot of reason for this, I will share with you my top two.
Reason 1: The grounds there are by far the best for wedding photography. See below if you don’t believe me!
Reason 2: I know when I am working the Morris Arboretum, I am working with the BEST catering company in the Philly area! I am talking about Company’s Coming of course. Josh’s food is so yummy. I look forward to these wedding for months knowing Josh is cooking me dinner! At arboretum weddings, I am always surrounded by familiar faces. I enjoyed working with Steve from Classic Entertainment we always have a blast working together. I also want to give a shout out to Knight Kitchen Bakery whose cakes are probably the best I have ever tasted! (that says something, because I have tasted a lot of wedding cake.) Yet another reason I look forward to Arboretum weddings.
Ok, this is gonna be a l….o….n….g post so grab a cup of joe and kick your feet back!
My husband and I have known Fred forever. He is quite possibly one of my favorite people in the whole wide world. We have spent many a late night together watching UFC. I kinda appoint myself stand in “Mommy” for little Declan on these nights. Lindsay is always working and by the time I get home from whatever wedding I am shooting that day, I try to give Fred a break. I love that kid! So when Fred asked me to photograph his wedding I was more than thrilled to do it!
Their wedding day was georgeous! Lots of Sun, bright blue skies. The picture perfect day! It was my first time at The Hotel Hershey and I was really impressed! That place was amazing, with lots of great photo opts. We were lucky enough to get the amazing Pete Malone out not only to second shoot but he took over after dinner so I could enjoy the party without having to work. He did an awesome job! Thanks Pete!
Congratulation Fred & Lindsey! See you tomorrow Fred!!!
Everything from here down was shot by Pete!
Who’s that sexy mama below??
Takin’ care of business!
Yes, bottom left is Jesse, all I can say is oh my!
I met up with Sharon and Alex recently for an engagement session. They just commissioned my services for their March 2010 wedding and after this amazing session I can not wait to shoot their wedding! I have been super busy this fall with sessions just like this one, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
So…. do you wish you had images like these? Well it is not too late to schedule a session this November! I have plenty of weekday evenings open! Sessions only take about 1.5 hours and I guarantee you’ll LOVE the results! Email me at jenn@jennchildress.com for more details!
Chelsea and Austin were married at a great location! Belle Voir Manor is nestled next to Pen Ryn Mansion right on the lovely Delaware River. We were really lucky because the rain held off and didn’t start until well after the party was kickin! I had the pleasure of working a few time with this adorable couple and all of our hard work paid off! We got some killer images! I want to send a huge thanks out to Kevin York for joining me for the day! I also had the pleasure of working with Ed from Branded Video, another Lansdale native! Check out his site to see a teaser from this wedding.
Stephanie - Hi! I love the pictures you shot of their wedding. I am getting married at Belle Voir also, and I was wondering if you stopped somewhere other than there to get outdoor pictures. I've been to Belle Voir before and I was trying to figure out were all the greenery came from in their pictures!
Erin - Chelsea - your dress is gorgeous. Who is the designer?
